Can I close my water and sewer account through My ServiceOttawa?

  1. Log in to My ServiceOttawa.
  2. Select View water account.
  3. Select account from the drop down beside the account #.
  4. Click on Stop, start or transfer service in the menu on the left.
  5. Click on transfer account if moving within the city or cancel account otherwise.
  6. Enter closing date(s), new service address or forwarding address/contact information for final bill and select between owner/tenant.
  7. Click Submit/Validate

Confirmation will appear in green box on screen.

Alternatively, please contact revenue branch (613-580-2444, option 1) to schedule a final meter reading for your water and sewer account. To schedule a final meter reading, you will be asked for the purchaser name/s, the closing date and a forwarding address.  Once a final meter reading is taken, a final bill will be issued.
